Busara is recruiting for the above positions for research on a mobile peer to peer lending platform that seeks to enable financing at the base of the Kenyan pyramid by the Kenyan base of the pyramid, the platform will act as a market place for Kenyans (or groups of Kenyans) to lend and borrow from each other.


Busara seeks to recruit field officers to help in the online recruitment of borrowers and lenders in the following areas; Leading Nairobi malls, Kawangware, Kibera and Mathare.

Responsibilities
  • Field Officers will work individually and in a team to administer surveys to Lenders and Borrowers in some of the leading malls.
  • They will organize data in the field, compile survey information, translate between English and Swahili, and complete other tasks required for the project or assigned by the Project lead.
  • Be computer Literate
  • Field Officers will be based in Nairobi, Working outside of standard business hours in either morning, evening or on weekends will sometimes be necessary.
Key Requirements:

Required
  • Degree or diploma graduate in social sciences, developmental studies, economics or any other related course
  • Should be computer literate
  • Previous experience in data collection and entry desired
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience in recruitment/enrollment activities is an added advantage.
Work Duration: Successful applicants will be hired for 3-4 weeks on a casual basis.
