We currently have an exciting career opportunity for Customer Service Assistant.
The post holders will report to the
Assistant Manager – Client Services in the Life Department and will be based in
Nairobi.
Role Purpose: Servicing of Individual life business clients to
ensure customer satisfaction

- Providing service to customers in respect of
individual life business
- Building relationships with new and existing
clients
Life Servicing
- Preliminary assessment of premium position
- Printing and dispatching Premium arrears
notices
- Preparing, capturing, printing and dispatching
lapse notices
- Releasing policy documents on completion of
loan repayments.
- Preparation of endorsements
- Evaluation and response to withdrawal requests
with no surrender values
- Arranging for advertisement of lost policy
documents through media and government printers
- Preparation and issuance of duplicate
policies.
- Preparation and dispatch of renewal notices.
Payments
- Refunding excess premiums/PD amounts
- Dispatching cheques
Records maintenance
- Updating the various folders established
within the section to ensure accurate reports pertaining to the business
Key Deliverables
- Customer (client and intermediary)
Satisfaction
- Timely Service delivery as per TAT’s in place
- Retention and Growth of the portfolio as per
targets in place
Qualification and Experience

- Degree in Business related subject
- Professional qualification in life insurance
business
Functional Skills
- Good communication, planning &
Interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of standard software packages
- Experience in customer service management

Relevant Experience
- 2 years’ experience in life office operations
