We currently have an exciting career opportunity for Customer Service Assistant. 


The post holders will report to the Assistant Manager – Client Services in the Life Department and will be based in Nairobi.
 

Role Purpose: Servicing of Individual life business clients to ensure customer satisfaction

Responsibilities

Customer Care
  • Providing service to customers in respect of individual life business
  • Building relationships with new and existing clients
Life Servicing
  • Preliminary assessment of premium position
  • Printing and dispatching Premium arrears notices
  • Preparing, capturing, printing and dispatching lapse notices
  • Releasing policy documents on completion of loan repayments.
  • Preparation of endorsements
  • Evaluation and response to withdrawal requests with no surrender values
  • Arranging for advertisement of lost policy documents through media and government printers
  • Preparation and issuance of duplicate policies.
  • Preparation and dispatch of renewal notices.
Payments
  • Refunding excess premiums/PD amounts
  • Dispatching cheques
Records maintenance
  • Updating the various folders established within the section to ensure accurate reports pertaining to the business
Key Deliverables
  • Customer (client and intermediary) Satisfaction
  • Timely Service delivery as per TAT’s in place
  • Retention and Growth of the portfolio as per targets in place
Qualification and Experience

Academic Qualifications
  • Degree in Business related subject
  • Professional qualification in life insurance business
Functional Skills
  • Good communication, planning & Interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of standard software packages
  • Experience in customer service management
  • Customer Service
  • Policy Processing
  • People management skills of both external and internal partners
Relevant Experience
  • 2 years’ experience in life office operations office
