Finance Operations Manager

Job Summary: Reporting to the Head of Finance he/she will be responsible for overseeing payments, fixed assets register, internal controls and bank reconciliations.
 
Responsibilities:
·                     Management of payments for suppliers and statutory deductions.
·                     Responsible for collection, issuing of payment instructions, reconciliations and adequate funding of bank accounts
·                     Oversight on Petty cash & imprest administration ensuring branches are adequately replenished at all times.
·                     To ensure that all relevant taxes are identified, recognized and remitted; for instance, VAT, Tax on imported services and withholding tax.
·                     Strong liaison and coordination with Procurement Manager ensuring that Creditors and suppliers are managed satisfactorily.
·                     Ensure control accounts and bank accounts reconciliations are carried out on a timely basis
·                     Liaising with Internal and External Auditors in carrying out periodical and Year end Audits respectively.
·                     Maintain good Banks’ relations
·                     Ensuring that internal controls are maintained and improved.
·                     Take part in Business planning and budget preparation.
·                     Budget control and monitoring by ensuring the budget holders take charge of their costs and through variance reports
·                     Mentor and develop the team, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution and leave management.
Required Qualifications:
·                     University Degree in Business related Studies preferably in Economics, Finance, Statistics or Commerce.
·                     Professional Certification - CPA (K) /ACCA.
·                     Demonstrate excellent knowledge of Computer packages.
·                     At least 3 years Supervisory Experience in Financial Accounting.
·                     Demonstrable strong leadership and communication skills.
·                     Proven and demonstrated leadership and General Management skills.
·                     Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal, sales and negotiation skills.
·                     Demonstrate high integrity.

Financial Reporting Manager

Job Ref: HR: 55/04/2015 

Job Summary: Reporting to Head of Finance the Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for business planning, carrying out timely and accurate financial reporting and reconciliations and giving feedback to stake holders.

Responsibilities:
·                     Ensure timely and accurate financial reports and feedback to various stakeholders i.e. Executive Management, Board, CBK and Group.
·                     Participate in the business planning and coordinate the company-wide budget preparation process covering branches and head office departmental budgets.
·                     Pro-active engagement with all stakeholders in Branches, Business Segment Heads and Group Finance functions
·                     Engage with Management Information Team to ensure that the key reporting system and reviews are maintained and in line with reporting requirements.
·                     Perform revenue assurance reviews.
·                     Liaise with Central Bank, internal and external auditors to carry out periodical and year end inspections and statutory audits.
·                     Prepare Corporate Tax computations and returns on time.
·                     Ensure that all control account reconciliations are done effectively.
·                     Maintenance and improvement of financial reporting controls.
·                     Ensure incisive monitoring and reporting to keep management fully informed on financial performance, strategy implementation and revenue maximization initiatives.
·                     Mentor and develop the finance team, through managing work allocation, training, problem resolution and leave management.
Required Qualifications:
·                     Business related degree holder and a CPA (K)/ACCA.
·                     A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
·                     Three (3) years supervisory experience in financial accounting and reporting.
·                     Have working knowledge of T24 and excellent knowledge of computer packages in accounting.
·                     Demonstrate management abilities; be an analytical thinker, confident, diligent and pay attention to detail.
·                     Have good spoken and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills.

Head of Treasury

Job Ref: HR: 54/04/2015 
 
Job Summary: Reporting to the General Manager, Finance, the Head of Treasury will provide efficient and effective delivery of the full range of treasury products and effectively lead the Assets Liability Management (ALM) to achieve the desired business growth and profitability targets.

Responsibilities:
·                     Develop and execute strategies for investment of surplus funds in treasury bills, bonds and other money market instruments.
·                     Manage the dealing activity end to end so as to ensure that all the Bank’s interests are protected at all times and financial targets are met.
·                     Ensure that the Bank meets all external and internal liquidity requirements and that proper contingency plans are in place to address excess and deficient liquidity incidences in line with the Bank’s Policies and Procedures.
·                     Effective Capital and solvency management to ensure capital is allocated profitably and that the bank is maintained at strong solvency ratios.
·                     Develop innovative treasury products that will enable the bank grow its’ money market and foreign exchange volumes and revenues.
·                     Actively identify and market clients with potential to grow revenues from sales of treasury products and services.
·                     Ensure that the bank credit limits with counterparties are observed at all times.
·                     Build, foster and maintain relationships with counterparties, lenders and other stakeholders.
·                     Lead and manage the Treasury Function team and their performance with the view of ensuring proper positioning and leveraging of the function’s human resources.
·                     Participate in Management meetings as may be appropriate including but not limited to ALCO, Products Committee, Exco and others.
Required Qualifications:
·                     University business degree from a recognized institution preferably in Economics, Finance, Statistics or Commerce.
·                     A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
·                     Professional Certification e.g. CPA /ACCA, ACI (Financial Markets Association)
·                     Eight years working experience, 3 of which must have been in a senior role within the Treasury function.
·                     Demonstrate skills/know how in dealing, financial analysis and knowledge of financial markets.
·                     Good working knowledge of dealing systems.
·                     Demonstrable strong leadership and communication skills.
·                     Proven and demonstrated Leadership and General Management skills.
·                     Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal, sales and negotiation skills.
·                     Demonstrate high integrity.
