Structural Engineer
Position:

Job Summary: Deal with the analysis and design of structures that support or resist loads in the project area as per approved policies and procedures and in line with the project objectives.


Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyze configurations of the basic structural components of all structures.
  • Considering the strength of various materials, to see how their inclusion may necessitate a change of structural design.
  • Liaising with other designers, including architects, to agree on safe designs and their fit with the aesthetic concept of the construction.
  • Examine structures at risk of collapse and advising how to improve their structural integrity.
  • Make drawings, specifications and computer models of structures for building contractors.
  • Work with geotechnical engineers to investigate ground conditions and analyze results of soil sample and in site.
  • Liaise with construction contractors to ensure that newly erected buildings are structurally sound.
  • Demonstrate commitment to environmental, health & safety, and legal considerations at all times.

Job Summary: The Roads Engineer will provide the Project with quality engineering design services and advice for rehabilitation, renovation and construction of assigned projects.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Providing design and drafting services for roads design team for the preliminary and detail design phases of a project;
  • Review design and Interpret survey results into technical drawings.
  • Promote and improve professional standards for road engineering design.
  • Work in collaboration with surveying and planning team in mapping out and designing appropriate project area layout and structures.
  • Ensure soil and hydrological surveys are done to determine soil mechanics to inform decisions on positioning and installation of civil works structures and equipment

Job Summary:
 Establish and ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications and develop continuous improvement programs to ensure high quality project deliverables.


Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Asses and inspect set quality standards in line with best practice, engineering standards and project objectives
  • Plan and coordinate quality control programs in all facets of the project to ensure continuous quality standards.
  • Formulate and maintain quality control objectives to ensure waste minimization and cost efficiency
  • Establish overall quality control procedures, including frequency of inspection, methods, items to inspect and quality standards.
  • Establish program of statistical quality control and performance testing of completed project deliverables
  • Participate in root cause analysis of faults/anomalies in the project and determine corrective action to take, in collaboration with surveying, planning, civil and mechanical engineering teams

Earthworks Engineer

Job Summary: Provide quality control oversight and expertise relating to all the construction projects.
 

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Detailed planning of any development to undertake site inspection.
  • Review the drawings and specifications defining the earthworks proposed, and submit a written report before work commences.
  • Determine the extent of further specialist soils engineering services required (including investigation and geological work) before work commences and during construction.
  • Determine the method and frequency of construction control tests to be carried out, determine the reliability of the testing and to evaluate the significance of test results and field inspection reports in assessing the quality of the finished work.
  • Provide regular inspection on the project sites.
  • Submit a written report attesting to the compliance of the earthworks with the specifications, and as to the suitability of the development for all construction.
