Stores Assistant
 
Job Description
  • Receiving requisitions and specifications from users and generating Materials Request Notes and issuing materials only in required quantities against authorized requisition notes/material lists.
  • Documentation of goods and services, verification of stock and reconciliation of stock cards.
  • Receiving all goods and materials against L.P.O’S, checking to ensure that delivered goods are free of defects, updating of all stock inventories and clear verification and processing of invoices to facilitate timely payment of suppliers.
  • Providing custody for documents, confidential files and maintaining record of approved documents.
  • Checking the book balances with the actual physical stock at frequent intervals by way of internal control over goods received and issued, maintaining re-order levels and supplying information of materials and stock position whenever needed.
  • Doing Material Request Notes for equipment maintenance by processing Equipment Maintenance Requests.
  • Planning, coordinating and monitoring receipt and dispatch of all stock items and liaising with central stores for site deliveries.
  • Preventing unauthorized entrance into the store and making sure it is kept neat and tidy at all times.
  • Conducting reviews to ensure that objectives are being met and ensuring compliance to safety and health standards in the work environment.
Education
  • Diploma in Purchase and Supplies.
Work Experience
  • Minimum 1 years work experience purchase and supplies position
Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Planning and organizational skills
  • Time management skills
