Regional Finance Manager Job in Kenya

RTI International is seeking qualified candidates for the Regional Finance Manager

This position will be based in Africa Regional Office-Kenya and will support RTI’s projects based in the Africa and Middle East Regions.
 
The Regional Finance Manager will be the regional finance/accounting expert for an assigned number of project offices. 

S/he will be responsible for the technical training and guidance of project based Finance Managers on different aspects including; QuickBooks, Finance and Operations Manuals, Finance and Accounting Policies & Procedures, Financial Reporting and Global Monthly close process. 

This role contributes significantly to effective project mobilization during start up and close out phase of project implementation. 

S/he will also guide the project based Finance Manager to ensure that each project operates within Client and RTI Financial policies and appropriate internal controls. 

S/he will also work with the Regional Controller on key issues and opportunities to improve Finance and Accounting operations and processes across the Regions.
 
Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years’ related experience or an MBA degree and 6 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Sector related and regional experience required.
  • A Chartered Accountant/Certified Public Accountant is preferred. 
  • Experience with accounting software; QuickBooks proficiency is desirable. 
  • Prior experience as a Finance Manager for a USAID/DFID project is desirable. 
  • 20-40% travel required. 
This position does not attract International Allowances.
