Reporting to the Chief Accountant, the incumbent will be responsible for project budget analysis, cost monitoring and financial control implementation and reporting.

The Project Accountant will need to
work closely with the team and the clients to ensure alignment with the project
strategies and importantly deliver measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring of projects and management of
project assets through timely bank accounts reconciliations.
- Oversee and coordinate projects to ensure
financial aspects of the project execution are on track and are complying
with the donors and/or partners regulations.
- Analyse the project expenditure noting
variances to budgets as well as previous forecasting’s and present
accurate documentation and cost saving strategies.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project related
records, monthly accounts receivables reconciliations and distribute
ledger statements on time.
- Prepare financial statements for projects
including profit and loss statements monthly as well as and cost
accounting reports.
- Prepare customer invoices for goods supplied,
services rendered as well as receive and process tax exemption
certificates on time and attend to their billing enquiries promptly.
- Carry out ERP posting and reconciliation as
required.
- Manage the company’s compliance to all
relevant areas of financial management, accounting standards and
regulations.
- Prepare periodical cash flow analysis on
project requirements.
Requirements
The incumbent must possess the
following minimum qualifications and competencies:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related
field from a reputable institution of higher learning.
- Minimum CPA Section 4 or its equivalent.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a
project implementation environment in the role of accounting with proven
success in attainment of targets on a monthly basis.
- Good computer skills with knowledge of
accounting software. Experience in the use of Navision is highly
preferred.
- Solid Project management skills in profit
making projects.
- High level of commitment and integrity.

presentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
skills.
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to form
and manage relationships at all levels, internally and externally.

Remuneration: The
salary for this position is KShs 40,000 gross per month negotiable dependent on
experience and demonstrable contribution.
