Vacancy: Logistics Customer Services Executive
Reports To: Chief
Operations Manager
Job Purpose:Working as a Customer Services executive in
Shipping and Logistics
Key Duties:
- To focus on delivering the most efficient and
professional service to the customers and suppliers.
- Sales invoicing in accordance with established
procedures and standards of the company.
- Liaison with the operations team, sales team,
clerks on ground and the external clients/suppliers.
- Receive supplier purchase invoices ensuring
they are correct and passed to appropriate department for processing.
- As a Customer Services executive, work within
shipping and Logistics you will be required to ensure each shipment
generates the maximum contribution to the company by keeping constant
focus on meeting the required service level at the lowest possible cost.
- Maintain and file all records in accordance
with company procedure.
- Constantly review working processes with
carriers and transport companies to ensure best practice, but also that
fees charged are in line with competitors.
- Assist the sales team with quotations and
client/product knowledge.
- A Customer Services Clerk job usually involves
working in conjunction with the Customer Services Team Leader, which may
require you to produce reports and statistics for meetings.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Communication/Marketing/Logistics or
Supply Chain.
- Higher Diploma in Supply Chain
management is an added advantage
- At least 3 years experience in a Logistics and
Supply chain environment.
- Strong communication skills, problem solving
skills, leadership skills, and ability to manage multiple
responsibilities.
- Proficiency in computer packages and logistics
systems will be an added advantage.
