Job Title: Manufacturing Assistant Sales Manager

Salary: KShs 60K – 80K Gross

Job Purpose: Be accountable for achieving the sales and profitability goals. This role provides direction and leadership to the field sales Staff while responsible for the customer satisfaction and market share.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develops quarterly and annual strategic business plan for achieving budgeted sales figures for defined region area
  • Develop promotional strategy in conjunction with marketing department for on- and off-premise events and promotions.
  • Generate and implement sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses.
  • Benchmark business data and sales trends and provide monthly recommendations to the management to aid in execution of the strategic business plan. 
  • Builds sustainable partnerships at all direct clients, distributors and key accounts levels by emphasizing Company’s brands and product value along with the support staff
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with the team and third parties
  • Deliver sales, distribution and merchandising goals as needed by the company.
  • Provide quality leadership to internal and external customers in all assigned tasks, while upholding company’s values at all times: inclusive of constructive problem solving, facilitating creative improvements, and inspiring others.
  • Achieve the revenue targets and profitability quotas for all products as they are sold into all customer segments.
  • Grow the business by recruiting new accounts, distributors and direct customers
  • Direct the selling activities inclusive of resource deployment and customer interactions.
  • Prioritize effectively and in accordance with corporate objectives.
  • Lead, motivate and train the sales team; managing performance, coaching, mentoring, hiring and career development.
  • Be responsible for the sales department forecasting and sales tracking.
  • Evaluate market trends and gather competitive information, identify trends that effect current and future growth of regional sales and profitability.
  • Report to the management on  weekly and monthly basis on sales activities
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Degree in Sales, business, Marketing or equivalent
  •  3-5+ years’ direct sales, distributor sales and account management experience
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is an added advantage
  • At least 30 yrs old
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Supervisory or management experience, preferably of a sales team.
  • Demonstrated record of achievement in a prior sales management position.
  • Strong closing skills.
  • Proven oral, written, telephone and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn and retain product specific information and utilize to position the features and benefits to customers.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of all Microsoft Office Applications especially Excel.

Job Purpose: Main responsibilities will be designing, creating and managing the print related offline material for marketing and designing, creating and coding of online web related marketing. 

The employee will work with the editorial, analytical and managerial teams supporting them with creative content.

The candidate will use their creative layout and design skills to create aesthetic company online and promotional offline marketing
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Developing concepts, graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and internet website
  • Preparing rough drafts of material based on agreed brief
  • Designing and lying out of electronic and print materials for all programs and events (flyers, posters, banners, collaterals, logos, invitations, postcards, newsletters, newspaper ads, etc.)
  • Create and implement digital campaigns across various channels including website landing pages, web banners, eNews and social media in line with the Arc brand
  • Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements if required
  • Carrying design and web projects from concept to completion while adhering to the brand standards
  • Manage the workload for effective scheduling to ensure work is completed in a timely manner
  • Offer new ideas and concepts clearly and effectively to the Creative Marketing Manager
  • Maintain brand consistency throughout your work
  • From time to time handle copyright, reprint, and permission processes
  • Key marketing and advertising projects include membership promotion, events, club activities, entertainment venue promotion, advertising of Arc events and services
  • Liaise with and maintain positive relationships with other departments and external suppliers, in all marketing collateral related issues.
  • conveying information that assists the growth of Arc’s membership base and to creatively assist in developing and maintaining Arc’s corporate identity
  • Backup and maintenance of the website and sub-sites, including all databases
Skills and Qualifications Required
  • Degree in Graphics design from a reputable university
  • A minimum of 2 years design experience
  • Excellent knowledge of common industry applications (i.e., Adobe CS4 suite (PC), especially Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator)
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS/PHP/JavaScript/MySQL
  • Responsible for managing print orders and dealing with external suppliers
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Understanding of production, pre-press, print and web-based technologies Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Thorough understanding of social media platforms and design aesthetics
  • A team player and the ability to work in a small, collaborative, fast paced environment with
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a willingness to learn;
  • Proven ability to work within a multidisciplinary team with demonstrable experience in managing multiple tasks
  • Ability to learn and take creative direction from more senior staff
  • Ability to work with key stakeholders to meet their communication objectives
  • Ability to plan, organize and priorities work and resources to reach agreed successful outcomes  Demonstrated effective problem solving skills with the ability to interpret information
  • Be meticulous when it comes to attention to detail
