SeedGrowth Technician

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the incumbent will be in charge of Bayer SeedGrowth (equipment and services) business with the aim of growing the Bayer SeedGrowth portfolio in Kenya.
Major Tasks of the Position
- Carry out on the farm seed treatment
operations on identified farms
- Provide support and training to all Customers
in seed treatment business
- Ensure quality and customer satisfaction in
all the treatment operations
- Responsible for Bayer SeedGrowth products
stewardship.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Science in Agricultural
Engineering
- Three ( 3 ) years’ experience in Seed
treatment
- Knowledge of computer applications
- Proficiency in English and Kiswahili languages
- Valid driving license ( Class BC)

Field Agronomist

Reporting to the Area Sales
Representative, incumbent will carry out Product demonstrations at farm level
and train farmers in a bid to create a pull effect for BCS products down the
supply chain.
Also responsible for monitoring
product adoption by farmers.
Major Tasks of the
Position
- Active product promotion through farm
demonstrations, field days and farmer meetings with a view to increase
sales and overall BCS market share
- Product stewardship through farmer training
and sensitization
- Identifying new market niche’ with a view to
expand BCS business
- Timely reporting of general market
intelligence information
- Linking farmers to the selected agro-dealers.
- Ensure there is adequate stocking of BCS
products in the target areas.
Qualifications
- A university degree in Agriculture related
disciplines, preferably in Crop Protection.
- General knowledge of Crop Protection business
alongside sound technical knowledge of varied agricultural and agronomic
practices
- Knowledge of computer applications
- Proficiency in English and Kiswahili languages
is essential to facilitate communication at the official and on the ground
levels.
- Valid driving license- Class G ( Motor cycle)
