Administration Manager Job in Kenya

Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Authority (AFFA), a leading regulatory Authority in Kenya is seeking to recruit dynamic, result oriented and self- driven professionals to fill the following position:-

Administration Manager 
(1 Position)

Reporting to the Head of Finance and Administration, an officer at this level shall be expected to develop, oversee and enhance the efficient provision of the Authority’s administration services. 

Specifically the officer will be responsible for the following:
  • Plan, organize, and direct the work of the department to meet objectives with the most efficient use of resources, facilities and equipment at the Authority;
  • Oversee the Authority’s transport and fleet management policies and procedures;
  • Develop and implement the Authority’s Safety & Security Management Plan;
  • Management of Authority’s housing facilities, offices and collection of rent due including overseeing repairs, maintenance and adherence to relevant certification, codes and regulations for occupation of such premises;
  • In liaison with Finance Department, ensure maintenance and regular updating of the Authority’s Asset Register;
  • Oversee the efficient provision of the Authority’s outsourced services;
  • Identify and apply modern and innovative technologies to improve service delivery;
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety measures & regulations and staff training on expected exposure to different risks and safety & security measures;
  • Supervision, mentoring and coaching of officers under his/her supervision; and
  • Any other duties assigned by their supervisor or an officer appointed on that behalf from time to time.
Requirement for Appointment
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Management or related field from a recognized university;
  • Bachelors degree in Surveying, Land Economics, Building & Construction, Urban planning, Architecture or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Seven (7) years’ relevant experience of which five (5) must be at management level preferably in administration;
  • Must be a member of a relevant professional body; and
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications.
Skills and Competencies
  • Leadership experience, team player, integrity, good communication and negotiation skills.
