Senior Driver

Ref: HR/DR/09/01/2015
 
Job Purpose: The senior driver will be reporting to the Transport Officer. Ensure the company vehicle is properly driven and maintained as per company policy
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safe movement of staff from source to the destination as per instructions
  • Work and receive instructions from the Logistics Department
  • Maintain the company vehicle and ensure its good working condition
  • Keep a record of the vehicles movement through the ‘Work Ticket’ and report any anomaly immediately
The Candidate Specifications:
  • Must be O level Graduate
  • Holder of a valid driving license
  • Certificate level training such as government motor vehicle mechanic (Grade Test III or II)
  • At least 3 to 4 years’ prior experience in a similar job in a busy environment
  • Training in the disciplined forces will be an added advantage

Sales Representative

Job Purpose: The Sales Representative will be Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager. He/She will ensure the products are available in the market at all times.
 
Key Responsibilities


  • Supervise Salesmen/Ladies in the direct selling and marketing of the products
  • Prospect for new clients and markets
  • Set targets and monitor performance of the different sales routes
  • Oversee the collection of debt at the territory level
  • Generate periodic reports (sales reports, market intelligence reports, debt collections reports)
  • Resolve market disputes (customer care services)
  • Ensure proper use of resources allocated to the salesmen/ladies such as vehicles and crates
  • Ensure pricing of products is done uniformly in the outlets and as per policy
  • Execute sales promotions and oversee merchandising activities

Regional Sales Manager

Job Purpose: The Regional Sales Manager will be Reporting to the National Sales Manager. He/She will facilitate the Sales and Marketing department in the achievement of performance targets at the regional level and to act as a link between the sales depot and the head office.

Key Responsibilities


  • Prepare budget for the Sales region
  • Set and Achieve sales volume and revenue targets for the region based on budget
  • Manage the sales and distribution network at the regional level
  • Supervise the Sales staff in the region
  • Manage and control credit among clients

Plant Manager

Job Purpose: The Plant Manager will be Reporting to the Head of Raw Milk & Extension Services. He/She will facilitate the procurement of milk and manage the operations at a cooling plant.

Key Responsibilities


  • Set Milk collection annual targets
  • Ensure milk received is of good quality
  • Handle farmers and milk suppliers concerns
  • Ensure plant operations are cost effective
  • Manage plant staff and report all issues to the head office
  • Control and monitor all resources
  • Support events such as Farmers Field Days, workshops and forums
The Candidate Specifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science Technology/Animal production or related field
  • 5 to 6 years’ experience in dairy industry

National Sales Manager

Job Purpose: Reporting to the report to the Chief Manager Sales & Marketing, the National Sales Manager will oversee the sales function and ensure set volume and revenue targets are met.
 
Key Responsibilities


  • Manage the entire sales staff in regional offices and coordinating the sales function for the organization.
  • Preparing the national sales annual budget for managerial approval
  • Set the periodic sales and performance targets based on the annual budget and facilitating the achievement of the same
  • Provide specific management reports and analysis
  • Liaison with other departments to ensure availability of resources to achieve targets
  • Develop and review route to market strategies and other marketing strategies
  • Plan and coordinate sales events and promotional activities as well as networking with industry members to ensure customer satisfaction

Legal Officer

Job Purpose: Reporting to the Company Secretary & Chief Manager Legal Affairs, the Legal Officer will offer legal advice and guidance to other management and organization as a whole.
 
Key Responsibilities


  • Draw contracts, agreements, leases and any other legal instruments that the company enters into with a third parties
  • Attend court hearings
  • Prepare witnesses and the evidence as well as presenting the same in court while keeping an updated record of all court cases
  • Collaborate and correspond with external advocates on all pending court cases
  • Attend to internal company queries of legal nature in the facilitation of normal business
  • Deputize the Company Secretary in the performance of company secretarial duties whenever called upon
  • Secretary to the Board of Directors in the absence of the Company secretary

Internal Audit Assistant

Reporting to Internal Auditor, the holder is expected to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and operational procedures and give recommendations for their improvement.

Key Responsibilities


  • Conducting routine audits and draft audit reports
  • Performing investigations and drafting reports on the same
  • Overseeing stock-takes and write-offs as well as conducting surprise checks
  • Participating in preparation of internal audit programme
  • Following up on the implementation status of past audit recommendations
  • Ensuring internal audit documents are properly filed.
Candidate Specifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or business related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K)/ACCA/CIMA/CISA

Information Systems Auditor

Job Purpose: Reporting to the Chief Manager, Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance, and the holder will undertake reviews of the NKCC’s ICT infrastructure and provide assurance to management on the adequacy of the system controls.

Key Responsibilities


  • Conduct regular risk assessments in the NKCC’s Information System and recommend measures to mitigate them.
  • Develop annual Information Systems audit plan, programmes and schedules on priority basis.
  • Audit automated systems and information technology in all areas of the NKCC
  • Establish extend of compliance of automated systems and information technology
  • Provide support to other assurance processes
  • Review, test and rate controls of system security from access to disaster recovery plan
  • Extract data from complex computer systems to facilitate audit compliance and substantive testing procedure by use of CAATS.
  • Identify suitable audit areas and approaches when the information systems strategy changes.
  • Prepare audit reports and carry out audit follow-ups on completed audits.
Qualifications and Competencies
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science/ Computer Engineering and any other related field
  • Certified Information Systems Audit (CISA)/Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  • CPA /ACCA qualification will be an added advantage
  • 5-6 years’ experience in Information Systems Audit
  • Experience auditing an ERP environment. Working knowledge on SAP will be added advantage.
  • Sufficient understanding of diverse information systems environment and architecture, software, computer operations and systems lifecycle.
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of CAATS/auditing software is desirable.
  • Knowledge of information systems governance and security principles and practices.

Estates Officer 
(1 Year Contract)

Job Purpose: The Estates Officer will be Reporting to the Legal Officer. He/She will be in-charge of maintaining an inventory of all company properties including land, buildings

Key Responsibilities


  • Ensuring payment of statutory outgoings on land rates and rents
  • Sorting out land title issues
  • Ensuring valuation of assets is carried out on regular basis
  • Ensuring maintenance of company houses is carried out
  • Handling tenants complains
  • Ensuring that vacant houses are let at market rates and as such carry out rental assessments and negotiations of leases
  • Ensuring collection of rent and preparation of monthly statements
  • Ensuring payments of utilities bills of all properties and sort out issues arising there from
  • Reviewing schedules of dilapidations and building maintenance
  • Advising on the performance of the properties
  • Reviewing provision of services by those contracted to maintain the building installations and equipment.
  • And any other duties assigned by immediate Supervisor
The Candidate Specifications
  • Diploma holder in building construction, property management and estate agency, land survey, pantry
  • Degree in land economics or related field will be an added advantage
  • Should be a registered valuer
  • Must have 4 – 6 years’ experience in estate / property management

Assistant Information Systems Auditor

Reporting to the Information Systems Auditor, the holder will undertake reviews of the NKCC’s ICT infrastructure and provide assurance to management on the adequacy of the system controls.
 
Key Responsibilities


  • Undertake regular risk assessments in the company’s Information System and ICT Infrastructure
  • Assist in the development of the annual Information Systems audit plan.
