Vacancy: Sales Intern - Marketing and Communications Department

Reporting to: Head of Marketing and Communications
 
Terms of engagement: Three (3) months
 

The National Council for Law Reporting is a state corporation established by the National Council for Law Reporting Act, 1994. 

The statutory mandate of the Council is to publish the official Kenya Law Reports which are compilations of the decisions of the superior courts of Kenya, and the revision and updating the Laws of Kenya. 

The Council is a leading publisher of public legal information. The Council is looking for a highly organized and self-motivated individual to serve in the following position:

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Service existing sales accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets.
  • Meet sales targets
  • Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly territory analyses.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Assisting in marketing and communication projects and events like taking part in displays of Kenya Law’s products.
  • Provide historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Advising customers about delivery schedules and after-sales service.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.
A candidate must have:
  • Diploma in Sales and Marketing
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sales experience will be added advantage
