National
AIDs and STI Control Program (NASCOP) is a Unit under the Ministry of Health
that works to strengthen and support prevention of HIV, Care and Treatment
services at County and Sub-County health facilities.
The
Ministry plans to recruit several staff to support the implementation of
activities at both National and County levels.
The
contract period is one year which is renewable yearly subject to satisfactory
performance and availability of funds.

Position

Overall
Job Summary: Support
the implementation of HIV&AIDS Global Fund activities together with the
Global Fund Focal persons at NASCOP and other relevant stakeholders.
He/she
will provide support for the coordination of HIV&AIDS program at National
and County levels.
The
program officer will report to the Global Fund program manager.
Job
Description:
- Provide
support in the preparation of work plans, budgets, M&E plans and
performance frameworks for Global Fund HIV&AIDS Grants managed by the
Principal recipient.
- Support
the implementation of HIV&AIDS Global Fund activities with the Global
Fund focal persons at NASCOP and other relevant stakeholders including
development of budgets and work plan
- Provide
support for the Monitoring and Evaluation of HIV&AIDS program at the
National and County levels
- Provide
necessary support to the GF focal person and the M&E officers at
NASCOP for the preparation of semester progress update on GF grant
activities as required
- Work
closely with the GF focal persons and the M&E officers at the program
level to strengthen the M&E and ensure the timeliness, completeness
and quality of data submitted to the Global Fund.
- Plan
and participate in field visits for data verification, support supervision
and GF asset verification.
- Support
capacity building initiatives for County and Sub-county Health Management
teams.
- Participate
in proposal development and strategic planning for the HIV program as part
of resource mobilization.
- Ensure
that all reports, letters and other communications are compiled and
filed.
Requirements:
- A
Masters degree in Public Health or Project Management or a health related
field with a Bachelors degree in a health related field.
- At
least 3 years of proven experience in project planning and management and
strategic planning, project monitoring and evaluation, information
analysis and report writing
Note: Fluency
in English and Kiswahili both oral and written is a requirement for the above
position
