Job Title: Finance Manager

The Finance Manager will be responsible for maintaining financial, accounting, administrative and personnel services in order to meet statutory and regulatory requirements and support banking operations. 

They will lead the Finance Team in delivering all planned and agreed department and individual performance targets to ensure that the various sections are efficient and value adding to the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • To prepare timely financial statements and reports as required by all pertinent laws and regulations and deemed necessary and demanded from time to time by the Board of Directors.
  • To regulate, supervise and implement a timely, full and accurate set of accounting books of the organization reflecting all its activities in a manner commensurate with the relevant legislation, regulation and internal guidelines.
  • To coordinate effective treasury management to ensure effective cash flow and cash flow analysis.
  • To prepare, control and monitor the organization’s revenue, capital and expenditure budget in line with the strategic and operation plans of the organization.
  • To create and maintain strong financial discipline by planning, controlling and reporting on the organization’s financial performance to the Board and Senior Management on a monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly basis.
  • Liaise with External auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure that all financial transactions are compliant with existing regulatory instruments and accounting standards.
  • Monitoring fixed assets register, provision accounts and investment portfolio.
  • Liaise with ICT department in the acquisition of the necessary software for the finance function.
  • To maintain a good working relationship with the financial institutions and capital markets with the aim of securing funds necessary for the operations of the organization.
  • To alert the Board of Directors regarding any irregularity, lack of compliance, lack of adherence and problems concerning the financial systems, financial plans and financial operations which could have a negative financial implication.
Qualifications:
  • A Degree in accounting or related field with professional accounting qualification CPA(K), ACCA etc. 
  • Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
Previous Experience:
  • At least 5 years working experience at managerial level of which at least two must be the level of Finance Manager or its equivalent.
