Smart Source East Africa Limited provides drivers and logistics staff to the private and public sectors as well as workers, mainly on permanent and temporary assignments to the market. 

Smart Source gives specialized defensive driver training to ensure competence and discipline of the driver before placement. 
 
We seek to fill the positions of Professional School Bus Drivers who meet the following criteria.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate the school bus in a safe and economical manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage and loss of life
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on the vehicle
  • Advice management on any maintenance or repairs needed on the vehicle
  • Maintain driver logs and complete pre-trip inspections of the vehicle
  • Adhere to all safety requirements of the school
  • Maintain the service and appearance of the vehicle
  • Maintain order and discipline on the bus
  • Pick and drop off children at the right designated spots and at the scheduled times
Key Attributes:
  • Must be conversant with the traffic and highway safety rules and regulations
  • Must know how to deal with young children and those with special needs
  • Must have excellent verbal communication
  • Must have stress and time management, analytical, problem solving, client service and public interaction skills
  • Must possess diligent attention to detail and safety
  • Must be able to multi-task and always have a positive attitude
  • Must possess cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Must be mature and be able to handle young children
  • Must be respectful, honest and trustworthy
Requirements:
  • The incumbent MUST have done a Defensive Driving training course
  • Must have a valid Driving of class ABCE and PSV License
  • Literacy in English and Kiswahili
  • Minimum 4 years driving experience. Previous experience as School bus driver is an added advantage
  • Good health and good eyesight
  • Current certificate of good conduct
