Job Title: IT Manager
Purpose of the Post
To provide Information
Technology support to the management of the organization:
To assist employees with IT issues
Roles- Server management
- IT innovations and strategy
- Hardware and software maintenance
- Maintenance of Data integrity including,
Antivirus software management, Backups and Restore Maintain high level of
data protection
- Database management and designing
- Management of telephone systems, office
equipment including faxes, copiers, scanners & ups
- Network cabling and management of active
devices
- Systems planning and designing
- Internal system analysis reports generation
- Computer hardware servicing and workstation
software installation
- Supporting and administrating computerized
accounting software
- Supervising IT sub-contractors
- Preparation of departmental reports
Key Result Area
- Computer and equipment downtime
- Adherence to servicing schedule
- Loss of data and virus infection.
- Prompt resolving of user troubleshooting.
- Accuracy of reports and timeliness in
submission of reports.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Information Systems from
a recognized University
- Business Application experience eg PASTEL and
SAP
- Ability to use and install/configure digital
technologies , communication/networking tools, and social networks
appropriately for optimal and appropriate use in a knowledge economy
- At least 4 years’ experience in a similar
position, with a specific focus on technical and system administrative
roles
- A strong understanding of a range of
technology platforms
- Outstanding client relationship and
communication skills – personable, credible, engaging and able to manage
expectations
- A reputation as a team player
- Mature and presentable
Starting salary is 75-105k pm
depending on competence and expertise
