We have an exciting opportunity for a
dynamic, experienced, self-driven, result oriented individual to fill the
position of Head of Projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee implementation of key projects to
ensure they are delivered in a timely manner within cost estimates and
defined quality expectations.
- Prepare, manage and control project expenses
effectively to realize cost reduction on CAPEX & OPEX, while meeting
overall project objectives.
- Proactively manage project risks through
timely design of mitigating strategies and appropriate control measures to
guard against operational lapses.
- Regularly monitor and track projects against
key milestones ensuring timely and accurate reporting to the Project
Steering Committee on projects’ progress, risks and investment/cost for
prompt decision making.
- Develop and implement recovery plans for
off-schedule projects without unduly affecting stated objectives and
benefits.
- Ensure project adherence to safety, health and
environmental requirements in compliance to NEMA and other regulatory
requirements.
- Drive the use and understand the global
project standards, processes, tools, and methodologies while assisting
with change management activities.
- Interact with regulatory agencies as required
to ensure that projects comply with all applicable legal requirements and
regulations.
- Lead, coach and manage performance of project
team members to achieve project goals.
Position Requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or
Engineering.
- Post graduate Diploma in Project Management or
a Degree in Project Management
- 5 years’ experience in managing multiple
project in the banking sector
- Strong & tested project management skills,
including sponsor relations & risk management
- Excellent analytical & problem solving
skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, team
management & communication skills
- Ability to handle pressure, conflicting
priorities and manage constant changes.
