Assistant Training Manager (Customs Services) Job in Kenya

The Authority is seeking result oriented and self driven individuals with high integrity to fill the following positions in the Technical Support Services Department,  Kenya School of Revenue Administration (KESRA):-

Assistant Manager, Training (Customs Services)
 
Responsible for: Coordinating, delivering quality training, administer examinations and conduct evaluation on training.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating training programs.
  • Delivering training.
  • Participating in curricula development and review.
  • Participating in setting of examinations and continuous assessment tests.
  • Supervising administration of examinations for trainees.
  • Supervising marking and grading of examinations for trainees
  • Coordinating post training evaluation.
Skills Required:
  • Master’s degree
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A PHD will be an added advantage
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Learning Development area will be an added advantage.
  • Customs qualifications
  • Training of Trainers course will be an added advantage will be an added advantage.
  • Three (3) years experience at a Supervisory level or equivalent position in a large organization.
  • Training experience in a large training institution.
  • Experience in curricula development will be an added advantage.
  • Certificate of good conduct
  • Tax Compliance
  • Computer literac
Competencies Required for this Role:
  • Effective training design and delivery skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, to convey conceptual and complex ideas and information.
  • Computer proficiency in the standard packages (word processing, e-mail and internet use)
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills and delivery techniques to interact with, engage and inspire students
  • Management and administrative skills
