Job Description:
- The role of the payables accountant will
include performing accounting and clerical tasks related to accounts
payable transactions
- Preparing supplier statements for consignment
and marketplace suppliers
- Preparing payments to suppliers
- Inputting the correct reporting in the
accounting system
- sort, code and match invoices
- set up invoices for payment
- enter and upload invoices into system
- post transactions to journals, ledgers and
other records
- reconcile accounts payable transactions
- maintain vendor files
- assist with month end closing
Qualifications and Experience
- CPA / ACCA qualifications
- 1 - 2 years’ experience in processing payments
- Very Good excel skills
- Knowledge of SAGE and other accounting
software
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly analytical individual with attention to
detail
