Furniture Company is seeking to recruit Furniture Workshop Manager for its Nairobi branch.
The incumbent will be
tasked with the following responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Daily
planning and monitoring of furniture construction work to ensure efficient
use of resources and meeting of customer requirements.
- Effectively
processing of furniture orders to ensure customer requirements in terms of
Quality and delivery time are met.
- Verification
of job cards to ensure accuracy.
- Verification
of Bill of Material to ensure accuracy.
- Following
up furniture orders to ensure work is going on as planned.
- Processing
of service work and ensuring meeting of deadlines.
- Effectively
registering and addressing of customer complaints.
- Establishing
the root causes, preventive action and implementation of preventive
action/solutions of customer complaints reported.
- Updating
work in progress.
- Ensuring
maintenance of carpenters and service team discipline.
- Compiling
and submission of reports as per company requirements.
- Formally
transferring of finished work to next relevant sections.
- Collection
of accessories from the stores for use by carpenters.
- Counter
checking job in hand against order requirements at every stage of
production.
- Updating
worksheets/ time sheets for carpenters.
- Maintaining
efficiency in the area
- Responsible
for products or parts thereof within the sections.
Key Result Areas
- Meeting
of deadlines (carpentry work, service work and complaints response).
- Internal
/ external rejects-complaints arising from carpentry section.
- Establishment
of root causes, solution/preventive actions and implementation of solutions
of customer complaints reported.
Professional Qualification
- Diploma
in related field
- 4 years
experience in the same field
