Group Human Resources Manager

Our client, a leading manufacturing company in East Africa dealing with Agricultural and Livestock products seeks to recruit a Group Human Resources Manager (preferably a lady). 

The ideal candidate will be in charge of ensuring the overall human resources duties.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Recruiting, selecting and interviewing of personnel
  • Interpreting and applying HR policies, rules and regulations as well as standards and techniques to HR clients and continuous review
  • Planning annual Human Resource activities for the Organization
  • Organizing for induction process for new recruits
  • Assessing Coordinating and implementing staff training needs as per the company policies
  • Implementing HR practices and objectives that will provide an employee oriented, high performance culture that emphasize empowerment, quality, productivity standards, and goal attainment
  • Enhancing staff record management and analysis of workforce.
  • Preparing employment contracts for staff
  • Conducting training of the performance management process to new staff and refresher to existing staff
  • Communicating various staff policy issues to staff and updating HR manual
  • Coordinating quarterly and annual performance appraisals
Qualifications and Competences
  • Bachelor’s degree or Masters in Human Resources Management.
  • Must have 15-20 years experience in the similar role. Must have worked in a manufacturing or FMCG firm that deals with a large number of workforces.
  • Have good communication and report writing skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups.
  • Service oriented with the ability to motivate staff and achieve results.
  • Should possess customer service skills.

Group HR – Training and Development Director
 
Location: Nairobi

Our client, a leading manufacturing company in East Africa dealing with Agricultural and Livestock products seeks to recruit a Group HR-Training and Development Director (preferably a lady). The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving the productivity of the organization’s employees.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Prepare training budget for department or organization.
  • Evaluate instructor performance and the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.
  • Conduct or arrange for ongoing technical training and personal development classes for staff members.
  • Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
  • Conduct orientation sessions and arrange on-the-job training for new hires.
  • Confer with management and conduct surveys to identify training needs based on projected production processes, changes, and other factors.
  • Train instructors and supervisors in techniques and skills for training and dealing with employees.
  • Develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
  • Develop testing and evaluation procedures.
Qualifications and Competences
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, business administration or liberal arts or at least five years of training in a manufacturing industry.
  • Must have more than 20 years of experience in the similar role. Must be conversant on training in Kaizen, Sales training and Sigma.
  • Very sharp sales force, to compete with the market leaders.
  • Very good attitude.
  • Proven ability to lead by example, create momentum and foster mentoring relationships.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, multi-tasking and presentation skills.
