Administration Coordinator Job Vacancy

INSO is a global charity dedicated exclusively to issues of humanitarian safety and to the operation of NGO Safety Offices (NSO) in volatile or insecure contexts. 

INSO CAR aims to support security awareness and security management capabilities amongst NGOs within the Central African Republic.

We are now seeking an experienced individual to join our team an Administration Coordinator who will based out of Bangui for a short term period. 

The Administration Coordinator will have the responsibility to implement, enforce and monitor INSO standard operating procedures in finance, accounting, administration, logistic and procurement matters at the programme level in CAR, recruit, train and orient the local admin-finance team.

This position is being offered on a 3 months term with an anticipated starting date of the 15th, October 2014.


Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Implement, enforce and monitor the admin and finance policies/procedures in compliance with INSO SOPs and donors requirements,
  • Implement the finance schedules in order to meet the financial reporting requirement to the Chief Administration Officer and donors,
  • Implement, enforce and monitor logistic/procurement policies in compliance of INSO SOPs and donors requirements,
  • Develop and implement a proper internal control in order to protect the country’s assets (cash and equipments),
  • Ensure the programme is in accordance with the local law, in term of financial reporting requirement, labour law and taxation, 
  • Oversee the recruitment, develop and deliver a training program for the admin-finance team,
  • Oversee a technical support to Country Director and Safety Advisors in all administration, finance and logistic matters,

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Fluent in both the French and English languages (written and spoken),
  • Masters level in Accounting, Administration or Finance,
  • Minimum of three (3) full year in NGO financial/administration management at field level anywhere,
  • Donor/contract management experience (must incl. OFDA & ECHO) & policy knowledge,
  • Understanding NGO principles and practices,
  • Proven experience in staff training, and capacity building,
  • Diplomacy and communication skills.

Preferred Characteristics:

The following are not required but will give applicants an advantage over others.

  • Experience in Quickbooks accounting system.
