About the Role: The role will be responsible to support the effective delivery of a newly initiated project on Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) in Narok. 

This project is complementing our on- going work in Narok on Maternal and Child Health funded by European Union and it is aimed at addressing gender issues impacting on sexual and reproductive health outcomes- a Maanda Initiative project funded by Comic Relief. 

The Programme Officer will coordinate five partners responsible for the implementation of the project
to ensure harmony and effectiveness of the project delivery model and outcomes. 

The role will bring particular strengths and experiences in Gender and Power in the context of sexual reproductive health and maternal health.

About You: To qualify for this position you will need to demonstrate knowledge, skills and experience in gender and power programming, a good understanding of the Maasai culture and social norms, as well as clear knowledge and experience in effective and evidenced based gender programming for improved sexual reproductive health and maternal health.

The role requires motivated, dynamic and innovative person able to deliver results from a wide range of interventions, with minimal supervision. 

Team working and coordination skills will be pertinent to this position. 

You will demonstrate high levels of reliability and ability to implement the project on a timely basis and produce quality technical reports on time. 

Ability to monitor budget implementation and ensuring programme-budget compliance is paramount to this role.

Experience working in international development organizations and managing partnerships will be highly valued.

To be able to execute this role effectively you will have a degree in Gender, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or any other relevant field.
