Our Client, an international, non-sectarian organization which promotes an innovative value-based approach to peace building is seeking to recruit a Finance Manager who will be responsible for ensuring effective financial management and compliance for the company’s programmes in Kenya.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesOur Client, an international, non-sectarian organization which promotes an innovative value-based approach to peace building is seeking to recruit a Finance Manager who will be responsible for ensuring effective financial management and compliance for the company’s programmes in Kenya.
- Responsible
for ensuring effective financial management and compliance for all
supported programmes in Kenya.
- Develop
and manage financial processes related to the company programmes;
- Manage
the financial reporting and audit requirements to ensure that internal and
donor requirements are met, this will include the preparation of financial
statements, budget narratives and funds requests.
- Develop
and deliver financial training for local staff and partners
- Undertake
financial risk assessments in relation to the work supported by the
company
- Ensuring
the existence of strategic plans for the long-term sustainability of the
various business units.
- Ensuring
relevant controls, checks and balances are operational at all times to
safeguard the assets of the organization.
- Ensuring
the existence of relevant assets for the proper functioning of the
organization
- Budget
monitoring including production of monthly management accounts
Skills and Qualifications
- Holder
of a Degree in Finance and Accounting
- Diploma/Degree
in a Business related field.
- At
least 5 years of experience in the field.
- CPA(K)/ACCA
Holder
- Excellent
technical skills and communication skills
- Advanced
knowledge of computerized accounting systems, preferably QuickBooks.
- Applicants
should have strong analytical, reporting, presentation and facilitation
skills
- Ability
to be self-managing and work as part of a team.
