The company is looking to recruit the following job positions.

Sales Agronomist

Job Ref: DPK 1001

(Central, Rift Valley, Nyanza, Coast, Eastern and Western Regions)

Overall Purpose: 

Reporting to the Manager, Marketing & Business Development, He/She will be in
charge of offering precision agribusiness that ensures farmers produce better yields, nutritious produce and hence improving crop productivity for higher profit.

Key Responsibilities:
·                     Market our organic fertilizer products and complete sales with farmers.
·                     Provide agronomic advice to horticulture, commercial and plantation farmers related to our product
·                     Meet or exceed sales targets of organic foliar fertilizers
·                     Offer training and demonstrations to sales staff and potential clients by showing them the benefits and usage of our products
·                     Manage product promotions in liaison with the Marketing Department
·                     Provide consultancy to clients and distributors on agriculture related activities
·                     Train distributors and customers on company agricultural products usage and business opportunities
·                     Building a pipeline of interested distributors
·                     Setting up trials with customers
·                     Closely tracking and reporting sales and marketing activities
·                     Managing a network of distributors and completing follow-on sales
·                     Provide and review Agricultural literature for the company and clients.
·                     Prepare weekly / monthly /annual reports for the section for presentation to the Manager, Marketing & Business Development.
Qualifications:
·                     Must have a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, with majors in soil Science and plant nutrition.
·                     Must have 3-5 years hand on experience input sales (marketing)/ Soil Nutrition related Activities.
·                     Must be ICT literate.
·                     Must have a valid driving license, for a minimum of three years.
·                     Personal Attributes:
·                     Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills
·                     Self-motivated and goal oriented individual, with excellent organizational skills.
·                     Ability to develop strategies and action plans for new opportunities, products and markets.

Overall Purpose: 

Reporting to the DPC Coordinator, He/She will be in charge of branch operations & administration, sales growth, market expansion, promotion and maintenance of positive customer relationships to achieve the Company’s goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
·                     Sell products  to walk in customers, distributors, new clients and existing accounts
·                     Provide marketing and sales support to the distributors for effective implementation of activities i.e. product launches and promotion activities
·                     Ensuring bankings are done on time
·                     Track marketing performance and effectiveness of the programs across all segments
·                     Ensure profitability objectives are met and achieving sales targets
·                     Managing inventory reorder levels
·                     Ensuring smooth running of the office with uninterrupted supplies of stationery, petty cash and a well organized filing system
·                     Attract potential customers by answering product and service questions;
·                     Maintains customer records by updating account information.
·                     Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
·                     Keeping an updated database of distributors
·                     Handling customer queries and escalation where necessary
·                     Managing correspondence with trainers
·                     Preparing sales and Inventory reports on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
Required Qualifications
·                     Degree in Business/ Sales & Marketing
·                     3 year’s practical working experience in a similar role
·                     Applicants selling food supplements/beauty products/organic fertilizers preferred
·                     A self driven person
·                     Ability to work under pressure
·                     Ability to meet deadlines
·                     Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and proper documentation
·                     Good presentation skills
·                     Confidentiality and high integrity
·                     Ability to work with minimum Supervision
·                     Excellent communication skills at all levels, both internally and externally
·                     Good business acumen & Time management to meet deadlines
