Senior Manager – Technology Audits and Quality
Ref: IA – SMTAD – AUG - 2014
In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below:-
Reporting to the Director - Internal Audit, the successful candidate will lead a team of technical specialists/experts responsible for developing and delivering an effective internal audit plan, assessing the key risks associated with Technology and providing practical recommendations to mitigate against such risks as well as coordinate special input in all audits.
The key responsibilities will be to:-
- Review of security settings around key network
elements (CSDB/HLR/AUC, MSC, IN, and GGSN/SGSN);
- Review operational effectiveness of RA
controls across revenue streams through reperformance of key RA
activities;
- Provide Assurance on the IT Operations Network
, covering end user systems and customer facing support systems;
- Conduct Network Security Audits to assess the
adequacy of network security infrastructure implementations;
- Driving the development, and use of data
analytics throughout the audit life cycle, as well as manage the network
of data analytics auditors embedded in the internal audit teams. This will
be done through increasing the number of auditors who are proficient in
performing basic analytics;
- Rollout the continuous auditing and controls
monitoring program in the company and raise awareness of the same within
the business;
- Work with internal audit, risk management
(compliance) and business process owners to identify key automated
controls, developing a roadmap to ensure tests are developed to monitor
key with a long term objective of reducing audit turnaround time and
proactive monitoring of high risk areas in the company;
- Ensure all high risk issues identified and
closed within expected timelines, thus minimizing the period exposure to
the company;
- Work within projects as an independent
internal assurance function to provide advice and guidance to project
management teams and to report on a regular basis to the Project steering
committee;
- Assist the Audit operations lead in staffing
audits and determining the skills required for technical audits
The ideal candidate should possess
the following skills & competencies:
- Upper second class degree in Business or
Commerce Field e.g. B.Comm from a recognized University.
- Fully qualified accountant - CPA (K) or
equivalent.
- Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
- IT knowledge - an understanding of the working
of various accounting packages (including ERP’s)
- 8 years working experience in external audit
from a reputable audit firm or 8 years business experience and extensive
experience within an internal audit function • High level knowledge of MS
Office applications.
- Well versed in knowledge of frameworks e.g
COSO Internal Control Framework.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to
communicate with all levels of management.
- Excellent reporting (oral and written) skills.
- Proven ability to lead audits and manage an
audit team.
Account Relationship Manager

Reporting to the
Sector Manager, The Account Relationship Manager will manage an assigned group
of accounts, with an objective of driving business revenues and opportunities
across the customer base to exceed DB through acquisition and retention as well
as assuring retention of baseline under their management.
Key Responsibilities:

- Identify growth prospects and specific
opportunities in the Relationship;
- Device strategic plans for Relationship
penetration and ensure implementation of tactical plans execution
including pipelines;
- Proactive Relationship performance management
and tracking;
- Grow payment solutions (M-PESA) in the TML;
increase penetration through acquisition;
- Identify growth opportunities and up-selling
and cross – selling potential within the assigned TML;
- Provide leadership for customers in
understanding business objectives and recommend business solutions to
achieve those goals;
- Develop and execute customer ring fencing
strategies;
- Stimulate existing Fixed voice accounts;
- Stimulate M-PESA usage across all Relationship
pillars;
- Develop strong relationships with customers at
CXO to maintain baseline growth;
- Follow up on all existing contracts renewal,
and ensure renewals are made in time;
- Develop responsive solutions in conjunction
with Product Innovation team;
- Develop customer value propositions and
presentations;
- Formulate and manage Relationship development
plans and participate in all Relationship customer forums;
- Ensure all accounts are managed through well
thought out Account Development Plans;
- Intimate engagement with Relationship fortune
accounts (Platinum Customers);
- Provide and implement an effective coaching
for Account Relationship Managers to drive and help them to implement new
actions that improve their performance;
- Weekly reports on Accounts performance and
submission of account plans and pipeline outlook;
- Enforce real-time use of Sales Info tool by
Account Relationship Managers
- Drive Net Promoter Score by maintaining strong
and deep relationships with accounts under direct management; following
through on all issues to ensure closure and maintaining communication with
the customer throughout the entire customer journey.
Role Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business or any
other related field;
- At least 3 years exposure in Service and/or
Customer management for major corporate clients, commercially savvy with
detailed understanding of the technologies the company is selling and
issues that typically arise;
- Industry certifications would be an added
advantage (ITIL Foundation, MCP/MCSE, CCNA etc.).
