Job Title: Marketing
Assistant
Job Purpose Summary: The
Marketing Assistant supports market research and the design and implementation of
marketing activities that boost sales and promote the Company’s brands and
product offerings.
- Researches consumer preferences and
competitors’ market shares and strategies, including product introductions
and pricing.
- Coordinates with the Key Accounts and General
Trade teams to collect sales data for trends analysis.
- Supports the management of systems and
processes necessary for effective data collection, analysis, and
communication within the company.
- Supports the accomplishment of Marketing &
Sales objectives by designing promotional activities and supporting the
execution of marketing plans.
- Monitors advertising, merchandising, and trade
promotion initiatives.
- Ensures information is collected in order to
monitor and analyze the efficacy of marketing efforts within the company.
- Acts as a brand ambassador for the company,
advocating for the products and the company within his/her professional
network and at all public events.
- Works under the supervision of the Trade
Marketer to maintain and distribute marketing materials, including those
on the website, distributed in print, or used in advertisements and
promotional activities.
- Coordinates with Marketing & Sales staff,
as well as temporary support, to ensure proper resourcing of all
promotional activities with retail outlets.
- Supports the development of sales forecasts by
ensuring accurate tracking of sales by region, key account, and SKU.
- Supports the development of an annual
marketing budget by ensuring accurate monitoring and reporting of
marketing expenditures.
- Supports the development of pricing strategies
by ensuring accurate monitoring of input costs, competition actions,
product supply, and customer demand.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Diploma, certificate, or graduate degree in
marketing or business preferred.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a marketing
function, preferably in fast moving consumer goods (FMCG).
- 1+ years of experience supervising staff and
managing a professional team.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of market research and
analysis techniques.
- Highly developed professional communication
skills, both oral and written.
- Familiarity and comfort with budgeting and
sales forecasting.
- Ability to coordinate the efforts of a large
team of diverse employees and manage projects effectively (on-time,
on-budget).
- Experience with internet marketing and social
media.
- Proficient with all Microsoft Office
applications, particularly Excel and PPT.
