Customer Service Manager Job in Kenya

Our client is a leading manufacturer of animal feeds with a strong global and regional presence in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. 

The company manufactures innovative, natural feed supplement that improve animal performance, the consumer and the environment.

The client is urgently looking for qualified candidates to fill the position of a Customer Service Manager.


Successful candidate will ensure smooth operation of the business by providing effective leadership to the Sales and Marketing function as to ensure that set sales volume, sales revenue and customer satisfaction targets for region are met at all times.

The main duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Annual planning, forecasting and implementation of sales activities and marketing plans for the East African region.
  • Annual preparation of comprehensive sales and marketing plans to ensure that the short, medium and long-term sales and marketing plans fall within the overall Sales and Marketing objectives.
  • Actively participate and contribute to the overall sales and marketing strategy for the organisation.
  • Debt collection and management of debtors list within parameters agreed with the Country Manager.
  • Recruitment and technical development of new sales personnel and distributors to canvass whole region.
  • Liaison with Government in respect of product importation, sales and administration
  • Ensuring timely preparation and adherence to monthly sales itinerary.
  • Ensuring timely preparation of  accurate and comprehensive sales reports
  • Continuous review and updating of product pricing to ensure business profitability.
  • Providing facilitation and support of colleagues in stock management, product importation and liaison with feed industry stakeholders including Livestock offices of government.    
  • Interpretation and analysis of competitor activities and reporting back to Country Manager.
  • Proactive planning and management of marketing activities such as field days.
  • Keeping abreast of technical know-how associated with products and sharing this information with colleagues, distributors and customers.
  • Regular and active product training to colleagues, distributors and customers.
  • Administrative duties associated with sales activity such as invoicing and receipting of sales.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • At least 5 – 8 years working experience in the East African feed industry.
  • Technical qualification in animal nutrition (university graduate will be an added advantage)
  • A clean drivers license
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft office package
  • 30 years old and above.
