Manager Security Services

The position is responsible for ensuring the highest levels of aviation security are maintained in close liaison with our customers and airport authorities.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:
·                     Planning, designing and ensuring that set performance standards of security services are consistently achieved in line with SOPs.
·                     Conducting regular meetings with key account managers/supervisors regarding operations and service delivery.  
·                     Ensuring security services are executed as per agreed ground handling agreements and SLA’s with customer airlines.
·                     Exploiting all revenue and cost saving potential and contribute in business development.
·                     Maintaining a reporting system to the Manager, Airport Operations and Senior Management.
·                     Developing local operating procedures for the department.
·                     Developing and fostering good relations with customers, authorities and the industry in general.
·                     People management: through guiding and coaching a team of direct reports, ensuring a conducive, positive and performance driven atmosphere within the department.
·                     Participating in the internal and operational audit process.
·                     Participating in the budgeting process for security department.
Education & Professional Qualifications

Manager Baggage & Lounge Services

Swissport Kenya Limited is set to open and operate a lounge at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. 

Applications are invited from internal and external candidates to fill the above position.  

The position is responsible for ensuring the highest levels of customer service are maintained for premium clients accessing the lounge as well as work towards ensuring that our baggage services operate in an efficient and seamless manner.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:
·                     People management: through guiding and coaching a team of direct reports, ensuring a conducive, positive and performance driven atmosphere within the department.
·                     Oversee the daily smooth running of lounge & baggage services, in line with the requirements of Swissport and its customer airlines.
·                     Monitor and ensure that quality standards of baggage & lounge services are upheld.
·                     Conduct regular meetings with airline representatives / supervisors / lounge coordinators / 3rd party service providers regarding operations and service delivery.
·                     Work closely with members of the Management team to maximize the utilisation of the lounge.
·                     Analyse service level and revenue data to determine operational trends and develop proposals to increase revenues and enhance service and quality. 
·                     Exploit all revenue and cost saving potential and contribute in business development.
·                     Prepare, control and maintain records in order to provide the necessary information to the Finance department for invoicing.  Prepare and reconcile disbursements as appropriate.
·                     Develop & maintain a reporting system to the Manager, Airport Operations and Senior Management.
·                     Develop local operating procedures for the department.
·                     Develop and foster good relations with customers, authorities and the industry in general.
·                     Participating in the internal and operational audit process.
·                     Participating in the budgeting process for lounge services and the Baggage services department.
Education & Professional Qualifications:     
·                     University degree or equivalent
·                     Technical expertise in customer relations
·                     At least 6 years working in a customer service environment with a minimum of 3 years managing people and resources

Lounge Coordinator

Are you passionate about customer service and have the ability to develop and maintain excellent relations with premium clients? 

Are you capable of consistently ensuring that excellent service delivery towards superior customer experience is maintained?  

You are the person we are looking for.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·                     Provide a welcome service to passengers using the lounge, ensuring a pleasant customer experience.
·                     Ensure accurate administration of guests entering the lounge in order to support the billing of customer airlines.
·                     Implement and maintain customer regulations, policies, procedures and requirements.
·                     Provide relevant information to customer queries and provide solutions to issues guests may experience.
·                     Assist guests during flight irregularities i.e. delays, cancellations or diverted flights.
·                     Maintain excellent customer service standards at all times.
·                     Responsible for 3rd party food & beverage supplier through management and supervision of 3rd party staff.
·                     Monitor, take stock and liaise with the 3rd party food & beverage supplier on lounge supplies to ensure timely restocking and provision of supplies.
·                     Monitor and liaise with 3rd party supplier on timely & adequate provision, presentation and quality of food and beverage.
·                     Ensure general lounge cleanliness and tidiness is maintained at all times; coordinate 3rd party cleaning activities.
·                     Ensure proper reporting of shift operations to the Lounge Manager.
·                     Maintain good relations with airline representatives and airport authorities.
Qualifications
·                     Education:  KCSE Mean C+, IATA certification or diploma in hotel/catering and computer proficiency.
·                     Professional Experience:  Aviation industry or hospitality industry experience preferred
·                     Experience: At least 3 years in a busy operational environment.
·                     Proven track record in managing teams, planning and organising is an added advantage.
·                     Excellent communication skills.
