One Acre invests in farmers to generate a permanent gain in farm income. We provide farmers with a "market bundle" that includes education, finance, seed and fertilizer, and market access.

Our program is proven impactful – every year, we weigh thousands of harvests and measure more than 100% average gain in farm income per acre.  We are growing quickly. In eight years, we have grown to serve over 135,000 farm families with more than 1000 full-time staff.

Job Description: One Acre Fund is a rapidly growing organization.

We are seeking individuals to take up the position of Training Associate in our Kisii, Nyanza Office.

One Acre Fund is looking for experienced and talented candidates who are committed to making a difference in the life of farmers.
   
Primary Duties of a Training Associate
  • Training Design-design curriculum and individual lesson plans for professional development of headquarters and field staff.
  • Delivery of trainings to headquarters and field Staff.
  • Lead staff onboarding and orientation at the Nyanza headquarters.
  • Assist in assessing the training needs of headquarters and field staff.
  • Training of Trainers. Headquarters and field staff.
  • Manage and mentor other training staff.

The Training Associate will report directly to the Training Manager.

Requirements    
  • University degree preferably in Human Resources Management, Education, or other Social Sciences. Those with a Diploma and relevant experience will also be considered.
  • At least two (2) years experience in staff training with a focus on staff professional development.
  • Experience in the use of adult education methodologies
  • Proven organizational, analytical, communication (oral and written) and training skills.
  • Proven ability to design training materials.
  • Ability to assess staff training needs.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and to meet strict deadlines.
  • Must have advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

The candidate should be willing to reside in Kisii, Nyanza.

Preferred Start Date: August 2014

Compensation: Competitive Salary with Performance Based Incentives.
