Management Trainee Job Vacancy in Kenya

Vacancy: Management Trainee

You graduated in 2013 or 2014 and with your degree in economics, finance or such like related field, and you believe that you should use it to do something that builds the economy of this country or has a lasting impact!

You are so focused on this belief that you have possibly decided to pursue a master’s programme immediately after your bachelor’s degree so that you are armed with the specialist knowledge that, in your view, will be required.

Indeed, you have all these ideas in your head, in a diary or in a ‘dream’ book somewhere, and all you are looking for is the opportunity to actualize them!

Your ideas have probably been built around the financial services sector because you see it as being pivotal to economic growth.  Well, we may just have the platform on which to actualize your dreams.
Our client actively promotes financial access as a key pillar for economic development as, among other things, it opens endless opportunities for small and medium enterprises (SME).

A programme that is aimed at building the capacity of financial institutions to provide financial access to SMEs is currently underway, and this may be just the place where your ideas will have the most impact.

If you see yourself as a self-confident and resilient individual who can sell ideas to long serving well established institutions, are a quick learner and highly resourceful, then we are interested in discussing this role with you.

In addition you must also have:
  • Attained at least a B+ at KCSE or its equivalent in GCSE
  • A bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, or related field from a highly respectable university. A Masters degree will be an advantage
  • Proven leadership qualities e.g. been a leader of an association in your college, etc. We will be interested in seeing the fruits of your tenure
  • A good understanding of the financial services sector and the challenges of financial access
  • Excellent communication abilities that include presentation skills, representation and self-selling skills.
  • Individuals who have made presentations at national or international forums are of particular interest.

How to apply:

Your application, which should include a cover letter and a detailed CV, must demonstrate how you meet the requirements outlined above.

It should include a daytime phone contact, email address, and the names of three professional referees.
