The Office
of the Auditor General draws its mandate from the Constitution of Kenya.
Article 229
of the constitution establishes the Office of the Auditor General which is
mandated to audit Accounts of all National and County Governments, among other
Public Entities.

Finance

Assistant Manager Finance will be
responsible for:-
- Verifying the cash book for correctness in postings and castings
- Oversee general office services including asset management
- Manage Undertaking the reconciliation of financial statements on a monthly basis
- staff in Finance, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties to them
- Supervising, guiding, training and development of staff in the Finance department
- Perform any other duty as may be assigned from time to time
Requirement for appointment
To be appointed as Assistant Manager
Finance, one must have:-
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics or related discipline from a recognized University.
- Be a CPA (K) holder or equivalent
- At least 6 years’ experience in Finance, three (3) of which must be at a senior management level in a reputable and similar organization
- Be proficient in computer applications with strong emphasis on data and financial management software.
- Have demonstrated professional competence in public financial management
- Demonstrate proficiency in Information Technology
- An MBA in relevant field will be an added advantage
