The
Murang’a County Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified
persons to fill the following positions:-
Animal Health Assistant I

Terms of Service: Contract
Requirements:
Reporting to the Senior Animal
Health Assistant, the person will have the following duties:-
- At least two years training in animal health and production in an institute recognized by the Government.
- At least one month Artificial Insemination (A. I.) training in an institute recognized by the Government.
- At least 6 months experience in A. I. service delivery.
- Knowledge in riding a motorbike and having a valid license will be an added advantage.
- Age 40 years and below.
- Be registered by Kenya Vetenary Board (K.V.B.) or be a member of a relevant professional association.
- Ready to work for long hours including weekends and holidays
Duties and Responsibilities
- Delivery of artificial insemination services in a county ward.
- Perform veterinary field extension services that include farm visits, barazas and field days.
- Assist in disease control programs including disease surveillance and vaccinations.
- Offering tick control services.
- Do periodic veterinary activity reports to Sub-County Veterinary Officer
- Any other duty assigned by County Director or Sub-County Veterinary Officer
