Apprentice – Reliability Systems

The position seeks to grow the critical Service business market share through expanding geographic and industry presence in Eastern Africa by increasing SKF brand awareness & developing operational excellence and value added capabilities.

Key responsibilities include:-
  • Have a passion for maintenance field services
  • Have a passion for PdM technologies such as vibration analysis, infrared thermography, oil and motor analysis
  • Have good mathematical and mechanical aptitude, an analytical approach to problem solving
  • Having the ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Having good IT skills and be proficient in MS Office packages
  • Having good written and verbal communication skills
  • Be a team player
  • Working to total quality management principles, ensuring zero defect objectives and customer satisfaction
  • Is accountable for actively developing him/herself and contributing to team efforts

The applicant should be presentable, well spoken, self-driven and possesses a Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics engineering or HND. The applicant should be able to travel frequently.

PdM – Vibration Analyst

The position seeks to grow the critical Service business market share through expanding geographic and industry presence in Eastern Africa by increasing SKF brand awareness & developing operational excellence and value added capabilities.

Key responsibilities include:-
  • Identifying service opportunities, particularly PdM (vibration analysis, infrared thermography, oil and motor analysis) in all segments & supporting the RS Manager to achieve shareholder targets
  • Having the knowledge to analyze the data and recommend remedial actions to prevent recurrence
  • Having the knowledge to use laser alignment, dynamic balancing
  • Having the requisite qualifications to meet registration with the Institute of Engineers of Kenya
  • Working to total quality management principles, ensuring zero defect objectives and customer satisfaction
  • Is accountable for actively developing him/herself and contributing to team efforts.
  • Participating in annual sales budgeting. Is responsible to meet sales target YOY. Prepares monthly reports
  • Having good IT skills and be proficient in MS Office packages

The applicant should be presentable, well spoken, self driven and possesses a Degree in engineering or equivalent with at least 5 year’s experience. The applicant should be able to travel frequently.

Food & Beverage Sales Engineer
The position seeks to develop the business and support the growth plan of the Food and Beverage segment in Eastern Africa in conjunction with the management, sales and key account team.

Key responsibilities include.
  • Complete knowledge of the Food & Beverage market segment and plan the segment’s sales strategy and targets
  • Develop enquiries for SKF products in this segment by analyzing needs and forward to relevant departments
  • Perform joint customer visits together with the SKF team and distributors
  • Plan and executes product launches, marketing communication and promotion of offers to customers
  • Participates in annual sales budgeting. Is responsible to meet sales target YOY. Prepares monthly reports
  • Having good IT skills and be proficient in MS Office packages

The applicant should have 5 years minimum experience in a busy maintenance environment within the Food and Beverage sector. Experience in the sugar sector will be an added advantage.

The applicant should be able to travel frequently.

The applicant should posses a Degree in mechanical engineering.

Vehicle Service Market Sales

The position seeks to grow the distributor business profitably through expanding the geographic and
industry presence, increase SKF brand awareness, developing operational excellence and value added capabilities within the SKF Distribution network in Eastern Africa.

Key responsibilities include.
  • Drives and implements VSM initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Identify potential Distributors in the region to increase market share
  • Experience in workshop management of three spanner garage or franchise dealers
  • Adapt and implement SKF VSM distributor policy
  • Expands the VSM product assortment through the End User and Distribution network to continuously grow market share
  • Participates in annual sales budgeting.
  • Is responsible to meet sales target YOY.
  • Prepares monthly reports
  • Having good IT skills and be proficient in MS Office packages

The applicant should be well spoken, exude professionalism, have at least 5 years minimum experience in automotive maintenance, customer relationship skills and posses a minimum of a Diploma in Automotive Engineering or equivalent.

The applicant should be able to travel frequently.
