The position to be filled will be based in our Naivasha office.

Internal Audit Manager

The Internal Audit Manager will manage the Internal Audit function of the Company, providing independent assurance that the Company Risk Management, control and governance processes as designed is adequate and operating effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities will include:-

  • Preparing and executing risk based audit plans that enhance business performance in line with Management objectives.
  • Evaluating and testing control systems to determine adequacy and effectiveness in ensuring compliance with policies, plans and procedures; optimal use of resources and reliability of management information System.
  • Performing information systems audit with reference to network infrastructure, information security, business continuity planning, disaster recovery, application controls and ensure that system development initiatives support business objective.
  • Discussing audit findings, recommendations and timelines with process owners and monitor implementation status of agreed recommendations.
  • Making presentations of audit results to the audit committee and follow up on agreed recommendations.

The ideal shall have the following minimum qualifications:-
  • Hold a degree in Agriculture, Business, Finance or Accounting from reputable University with minimum 5 years progressively relevant experience gained working as an external or internal Auditor.
  • Be a certified Accountant CPA (K) or ACCA with CIA and CISA certification
  • At least two (2) years work exposure in a busy Finance Department
  • Demonstrate strong ERP exposure and proficient in computerized environment, ability to use specialized audit software (ACL) is a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and statistical skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Highly effective planning and organizational skills with a positive attitude
