On behalf
of our client, we are looking for top notch talent to assume the Head of Finance
position.
- Prepares finance policies and procedures and ensures that they conform to the internationally accepted best practices (IFRS) and are regularly updated
- Provides annual budget frame to functional heads, coordinates annual budgetary process, compiles functional feedback and prepares the institutions annual budget for CEOs review and approval.
- Conducts regular system and process reviews to ensure efficiency in the operations of the Finance Department.
- Oversees the strategy and implementation of Management Information System and related IT interventions to leverage on technology for continuous improvement.
- Handles all queries related to external and internal audit and ensures
- Identifies potential financial risks and prepares appropriate mitigations
- Ensures that the organization at all times has appropriate financial controls in place
- Coordinates the preparation of Financial Accounts including, quarterly management accounts, annual and quarterly budgets.
- To effectively manage the staff in the department and ensure maximum productivity is achieved..
- Maintains the integrity of the accounting system (ACCPAC) by ensuring that it remains effective and operational at all times.
- Ensures compliance with taxation and legislative requirements at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance.
- An MBA in Accounting or Finance. (desirable)
- A fully qualified accountant and a member of ICPAK
- Computer literacy with hands on experience in ACCPAC ERP and Ms –office or related accounting packages.
- At least 8 years of post-qualification working experience in finance or accounts department, 3 of which must be at a similar position

- Excellent presentation and report writing skills
