The
Salaries and Remuneration Commission is an independent Commission established
under Article 230 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010, with the mandate to set
and regularly review the remuneration and benefits of all State Officers and to
advise the National and County governments on the remuneration and benefits of
all other public officers.
The
Commission seeks to recruit qualified and competent staff to fill the following
vacant position:

1 Position
Job Summary: The Secretary will be
responsible to the Deputy Director Human Resource and Administration. The job
holder will provide general Secretarial services.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Typing from drafts, manuscripts or record from dictation machines.
- Drafting routine letters, memos and reports from drafts and manuscripts.
- Ensuring security of office equipment, documents and records.
- Assist management with accomplishment of routine tasks.
- Receiving, recording and dispatching mail.
- Handling telephone calls, diary and appointments.
- Handling routine office duties.
- Attending to visitors while observing protocol and public relations.
- Cross referencing correspondences.
- Preparing and responding to routine office correspondence.
- Handling confidential documents.
- Maintaining office diary, protocols, scheduling appointment and travel itineraries.
Minimum Requirements
- Proven work experience of at least six (6) years in Secretarial services.
- Bachelors Degree in either Secretarial Studies or Bachelor of Business and Office Management or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
- Certificate in computer applications.
- Demonstrate professional competence in management of secretarial services.

Scale: Ksh. 45,000 x 5,000 – 50,000 x 5,000 – 55,000 x 5,000 – 60,000 x 5,000 –
