Over a 15 year history our client established a successful model that uses the emerging marketplace for REDD+ Carbon Offsets to protect threatened forests, wildlife, and communities.

The company helps local landowners in the developing world monetize their forest and biodiversity assets whether they are governments, communities, ownership groups, or private individuals.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work with CBOs to ensure proper record keeping and the expenditure of trust funds have been adhered to.
  • Producing weekly, monthly and quarterly audit reports to the management.
  • Set up, review and maintain internal records for supplies and materials.
  • Reviewing and ensuring that the stock and management policies are adhered to at all times.
  • Work with the finance team to identify potential issues within the company and rrecommend corrective measures to be undertaken in areas of weaknesses.
  • Be called upon to carry out ad hoc audit assignments and investigations as an individual as well as a team.
  • Maintain and updating audit programs, ensuring correctness of the audit reports ascertaining full disclosure of facts and figures during the audit exercise.
  • Conduct intensive training to staff and CBOs on internal controls , processes and test compliance levels.

Experience: Must have at least three (3) years relevant work experience.

Skills & Certifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, or equivalent from a recognized university; possession of relevant Masters Degree will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrate leadership ability capacity.
  • Strong Business and Financial Analytical skills.
  • Superior communication and inter-personal skills, including report writing.
  • Effective planning, organizing and problem solving skills.
  • Strong management and administrative skills.
  • Initiative and self drive.
  • High level of integrity beyond reproach.
  • Must be willing to live in a rural part of Kenya.
