It is a subsidiary of Sustainable Community Development Services (SCODE), a reputable grassroots NGO which promotes the adoption and use of renewable energy technologies and sustainable land use management approaches among grassroots communities in Kenya.

SCODE Ltd envisions itself to be the market leader in the production and distribution of renewable and cleaner energy products and services.

The current product portfolio includes Improved CookStoves for Households and Institutions, Solar Home Systems, Solar lanterns. Solar dryers, Biogas plants for Households and Institutions and consultancy services.

Front Office Executive

The incumbent will be incharge of attending to the front office and customer care relations and will work towards enhancing effectiveness by providing information management support.

The post holder reports directly to the Head of Human Resources & Administration.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Produce information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving,  copying  and transmitting data, text and graphics
  • Organize work by reading and routing correspondence, collecting information, initiating telecommunications
  • Complete requests by greeting customers, in person or on the telephone: answering or referring inquiries
  • Maintain department schedule by maintaining calendars for department personnel; arranging meetings, conference, teleconferences and travel.
  • Receive all mails including letters and distribute them accordingly
  • Receive & welcome all visitors into the company
  • Receive client requests relied through email and telephone and channel them to the persons concerned
  • Receive & prepare all outgoing mails
  • Ensure that reception office is always neat.
  • Ensure that all boardrooms are clean, neat & always ready for use.
  • Maintain a schedule of the use of the boardroom.
  • Custodian of all reception & boardroom equipment.
  • Ensure regular maintenance of  photocopying machines, office cameras etc
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Prepares regular  and adhoc reports
  • Provide historical reference by utilizing filing and retrieval systems
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Handle customer care aspects and inside sales

Education and work experience    
  • Degree/Diploma in secretarial science/office management or any other related field from a recognized institution
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position
  • Computer literate
