Instep
Business Solutions (IBS) is looking to recruit a Finance Manager for its client, a
motor vehicle dealer, in Nairobi, Kenya.
The
position is also responsible for production of accurate financial statements
and books of accounts for the Company.
Responsibilities
- Provide advice on all financial matters;
- Develop appropriate financial management policies, procedures, practices, processes and accounting systems in compliance with national and group accounting standards;
- Overall supervision and management of a young and vibrant finance staff;
- Develop and implement effective financial internal controls;
- Cash flow management and liquidity throughout the year;
- Preparation of periodic financial reports, including monthly management accounts and bi-annual budgets and other group and internal requirements within strict deadlines;
- Working capital management including credit control policy implementation;
- Cost containment;
- Forex management;
- Undertake cash management including periodic forecasting and reporting on revenue generation and expenditure, to ensure maintenance of a strong financial control environment;
- Plan the payment cycle for creditors, review the keeping of supplier ledgers and ensure that payments are made within the agreed time frame;
- Closely monitor accruals and prepayments within the Company to ensure adherence to laid down financial standards and accurate reporting;
- Oversee the creation of tools to monitor organizational performance including revenue growth patterns, cash flow, and productivity;
- Preparation of statutory accounts for audit within strict deadlines;
- Fully conversant with Tax and commercial law.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree with professional qualifications in Finance or Accounting
- Computer proficiency with experience in accounting and ERP systems
- Member of ICPAK, ACCA or other recognized professional accounting body
- Strong coordinating, planning and analytical skills
- Strong communication and report writing skills
- At least 8 years relevant working experience 3 of which should be at a Supervisory/Senior Accountant level
