Social Media Content Manager Job in Kenya

Pevans East Africa Limited is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified individual to fill the post of Content Manager

As a social media Content Manager, you are responsible for creating, managing and growing the company’s online presence through blogs, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube etc.

Your responsibilities include:

Social media strategy
  • Work with Marketing team to develop and implement a strategy to grow our social media presence
  • Engage our customers and fans daily on social media channels
  • Analyze and evaluate industry benchmarks/market research regarding competitor’s social media programs to identify gaps and social media opportunities for improvement i.e. content strategy and frequency of content deployment
  • Establish Sportpesa’s position in a social media stratosphere and determine content strategy that presents client’s social media program in compelling and unique context
  • Develop and present info graphics to communicate social media effectiveness
  • Ascertain what methods will be used to syndicate content i.e. Twitter, Facebook blogs, etc. to capitalize on social media trends
  • Help Sportpesa’s find success with unique and timely promotional campaigns featuring incentives to join the social communities such as exclusive content, contests, insider access or other opportunities
  • Watch and check social media trends, tools, technologies, and recommend direction for investment and implementation
  • Extract insights from campaign data, identify relevant trends and provide well developed proactive recommendations to enhance and exceed overall social marketing goals and objectives
  • Report weekly on progress on acquiring and engaging social media users
  • Stay on top of new social media channels and trends and best practices

Content strategy and development
  • Demonstrate clear understanding of overall SportPesa messaging and develop innovative social campaigns to engage and attract new customers
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop /revise content for varied audiences in a professional manner
  • Create innovative new content across social media platforms (blogs, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc.) and ensure message consistency
  • Audit client content to determine how value can be demonstrated and leveraged
  • Manage creative partners to develop creative content i.e. Video, Mobile

Requirements:
  • A minimum of grade B+ in K.C.S.E with English language B+ and above
  • 2+ years of social media marketing experience using twitter and facebook
  • Outgoing personality, social adept of conversing via social media
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including some night and weekend hours
  • Strong content research skills and the willingness to create news and relevant industry content for the target audience
  • The ideal candidate should have great attention to detail and a competitve drive to fulfil our business demands with the highest level of efficiency
  • Team players with positive energy, great initiative and get done attitude

Excellent organisational, analytical and multi tasking skills are a MUST
