Research & Market Insights / Intelligence Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to develop adhoc/customized research methodology for tracking customer satisfaction and perceptions of brands.
  • Build enduring relationships with suppliers and managing projects to completion; from briefing to presentation.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to integrate research findings with other sources of customer data, aligning insights with strategic goals of the business.
  • Convert high complexity into simplicity - emphasizing the broad picture, picking out key detail and translating data and information into meaningful insights.
  • Combine data, judgment and experience.
  • Balance research best practice and a strong commercial perspective; achieving both high quality and maximum value - ability to see beyond the research and think about what is best for the business.
  • Actively seek and take advantage of ideas, best practices, and solutions developed elsewhere.
  • Work and collaborate across functions, geographies, cultures and with people from different backgrounds.
  • Develop strategic frameworks and marketing strategy

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
  • Basic degree in a relevant field
  • 3 to 4 years of experience in market research.
  • Must be able to work autonomously; with direction and intelligence.
  • Technical understanding of market research
  • Ability to deal with a range of non-research staff; championing research as a necessary component of marketing strategy.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and oral
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision
  • Ability to work during odd hours


Agency Business Manager

The job holder will be based in Nairobi.

The Role: The Agency Business Manager will report to the Commercial Manager - Advertising.

He/She will be charged with the responsibility of project planning, coordinating, motivating and leading a team  of Agency Business Executives to achieve agreed team’s sales volumes against set annual revenue targets.

Key result areas will include:
  • Planning, coordinating and leading a team of Agency Business Executives to deliver agreed sales volumes and revenues;
  • Initiate new sales strategies and creative communication campaigns that will provide value to advertisers;
  • Initiate and execute annual multi – media partnerships that will yield revenues to the business;
  • Leading teams in developing innovative advertising concepts for agencies;
  • Motivating the sales team to deliver departmental objectives;
  • Grow market share through client service and building business relationships and
  • Develop and nurture relationships with Agency with an aim to maximizing revenues.

Skills, knowledge and experience requirement:
  • Bachelor Degree ;
  • Diploma in Sales and Marketing;
  • At least 3 years’ working experience in a sales and marketing environment;
  • Proven track record of performance in agency business management;
  • Leadership and people management skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure for long and odd hours; and
  • Creative and innovative.
