HR & Admin Senior Executive Job in Nairobi Kenya (KES 80K - 100K)

Our Client: A leader in FMCG / Liquor Industry; owning and operating duty free travel retail shops at airports and seaports worldwide, as well as involving in brand development, marketing, and sales.

The company is headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, operating through a network of offices and warehouses in Africa, Asia, and Europe.

Job Title: Senior Executive – HR & Admin

Type of Hire: Local

Mandatory Experience: At least 3 years

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Gross Salary: KES 80,000 – KES 100,000

Job Responsibilities:

  • Staff planning in consultation with Reporting Manager.
  • Preparation of HR MIS with the analysis as well as Employee Newsletter on a monthly basis
  • Actively own the Recruitment and Selection process- from contacting the recruitment agencies, to scanning CVs, getting the interviews scheduled in consultation with Functional Heads/Representatives, maintaining MIS for the same, closing the position within the timelines, releasing offer and appointment letter, doing the joining formalities for the person.
  • Manage the Employee Induction/Orientation for the new joiners.
  • Draw HR training program calendar in consultation with the HODs
  • Creation of training modules, in coordination with various departments, to enhance skills of employees.
  • Have control over HR policy and compliance by employees.
  • Understand labor laws of all countries in Africa where FI is operating and ensure all laws are complied with.
  • Ensure all policies, processes and procedures in HR are adhered to.
  • Manage the Staff appraisals and review process, from maintaining timelines to creating MIS and dispatching of relevant letters
  • Control of attendance of all operating locations and ensure payrolls for all locations are checked.
  • Handle Employee Relations- staff meetings, complaints, staff grievances etc. Follow the procedure for disciplinary action as prescribed by the local labor laws. In charge of issuance of disciplinary letters in coordination with your Manager and our advisors.
  • General administration- filing and record maintenance.
  • Actively participate in bringing alive the HR software, preparation of relevant datasheets, ensuring updating of the software.
  • Prepare and publish the HRMIS report every month with all the additional annexures and trackers as required by the department.
  • Play a proactive role in coordinating and communicating with the locations in Flemingo
  • Keep your supervisor in loop of every issue you face and seek help and guidance wherever necessary.
  • Any other tasks/duties/responsibilities allocated to you by the management from time to time.

Mandatory Requirements:
  • Higher Diploma or Bachelors in HR;
  • Minimum experience of 3 of years;
  • Registration with recognized professional body;
  • Previous experience in Retail / FMCG an added advantage; and
  • Previous experience in recruitment.
