Main Responsibilities
- Commercial Development
- responsible for loading, unloading, preparing, cleaning, and operating a vehicle for delivery duties and otherwise stated
- Taking client’s data in terms of feedback
- Maintenance of company vehicle(s)
- Accounting on costing journeys in terms of fuel
- Any other duties assigned
Job Specification: The post holder will work closely
with the Sales team, CEO, senior managerial or directorial staff of the company
to provide administrative support, usually in the transportation and logistics
sectors.
Generally
the job involves the transportation of goods to/from a manufacturer’s warehouse
to retail outlets, wholesale centres, supermarkets and other outlets as
instructed.
The post
holder will need to be responsive to the challenge of working in rapidly
changing environment and will frequently need to work independently to ensure
that the company’s operations are efficient and effective.
The post
holder has responsibility, authority and a high level of autonomy for
operational delivery in the areas listed as main responsibilities.
Given the
nature of the organization activities occasional evening and weekend work will
be required. Working hours will be
managed flexibly to reflect this requirement.
Person Specification
Experience
- At least 2 year experience as a driver from a reputable company or employer.
- Experience in keeping a healthy customer relation.
- Knowledge of business organizational structures.
- Ability to speak articulately and credibly; communication skills which foster customer satisfaction.
Knowledge
- Four years of high school learning with basic reading, writing, arithmetic and presentation skills required.
- Computer literate with the ability to learn customer service software applications. (not a MUST)
- Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills
- Understands the organization’s aims and objectives
- Must have a valid Driving License;
- Certificate of Good Conduct.
