Senior Auditors (Internal
Audit)
The ideal
individuals will have extensive internal audit experience with exposure to a
mixed portfolio of clients and are currently at a Senior Auditor or middle
management level.
Key areas of responsibility for the
Nairobi based positions are:
- Preparation and planning of audits which include drafting and agreeing terms of reference for audit assignments and special reviews and involvement in budgeting for assignments.
- Audit fieldwork such as determining the most appropriate type of review by evaluating information to decide on the approach required to provide the level of independent assurance needed.
- Reporting using best professional practice for reviewing and summarising findings, presentation of findings and recommendations to senior management, carrying out exit meetings and performing post-audit de -briefings.
- Follow-Up using best professional standards for arranging and conducting de-brief meetings, monitoring the effectiveness of audit reviews, maintaining the audit status report and responding to audit and non audit related review queries.
A
professional accountancy qualification with more than five years post qualification
experience is required - CCAB or equivalent (e.g. ACCA, CIA, CISA, and CFE).
The ideal
candidate will have extensive internal audit experience with exposure to a
mixed portfolio of clients, ability to make effective presentations to senior
managers using effective presentation aids and dealing with questions raised.
Substantial
overseas travel (approximately 65 - 70%) will be required.
