Research Officer Job in Kenya

The African Research and Resources Forum (ARRF) is a research, data resource, reflection and policy debate institution devoted to the resolution of the governance and development issues confronting policy-makers and societies in Eastern Africa.

It links scholars, researchers, opinion leaders and public service functionaries to interact and share ideas.

The Forum also facilitates the evolution of a regional community of scholars, researchers and institutions, with a shared interest in resolving inter-African development problems in partnership with various organizations in the region and beyond.

ARRF wishes to fill the following position:

Full-Time Research Officer – [Initial Contract 1 Year, renewable]

The Research Officer will carry out both research and project management tasks.

He/She will be assigned to one or more projects of ARRF by the institution’s management.

The Officer will also assist the Executive Secretary and management of ARRF with various responsibilities in the day-to-day running of the institution.

Qualifications and Experience:

At least a bachelors degree in economics, development studies, public policy, political science / Governance or related Social Sciences and a strong research background.

He/she should have at least three (3) years experience in conducting multi-disciplinary research at a regional level, preferably within Eastern Africa.
