Athletics Kenya wishes to recruit the following staff immediately

1. Accountant

The requirements for the position are

  • Bachelors degree in Commerce (Finance or Accounting Option)
  • CPA qualification will be an added advantage
  • Should be 28 – 35 years of age with at least 4 years relevant working experience
  • Should be conversant with accounting software
  • Should have demonstrable knowledge in resource utilization and budget forecasts
  • Should have knowledge to prepare books of accounts, financial statements, financial reports according to IFRS, bank reconciliations, debtors and creditor’s reconciliation.
  • Should have Tax computation knowledge
  • Should have proven experience of preparing narrative reports, financial analysis and management accounts.

2. Executive Secretary

This position calls for an organized, highly effective and proactive person with the ability to multi task.

Requirements for the position are
  • Bachelors degree in social sciences or relevant diploma
  • Must be 28 – 35 years of age with at least 4 years relevant working experience
  • Good communication skills – both written and spoken English, French and any foreign language will be added advantage
  • Should be good in report writing, presentation skills, taking dictation, taking minutes and managing diary
  • Should be computer literate and able to use internet facilities effectively
  • Should have Knowledge in office management systems and document filing
  • Should have knowledge in event managements, travel itinerary management, booking flights, conferences etc.

3. Information Communication Technology (ICT) Administrator

This position requires someone with strong technical knowledge of information systems.

The successful candidate should meet the following.
  • Computer related Bachelors degree or equivalent professional certifications
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in provision of ICT support to end-users with at least 4 years experience
  • Systems administration certification will be an added advantage
  • Should be 28 – 35 years of age with at least 4 years relevant working experience
  • Ability to perform system administration, maintenance, auditing, monitoring and project management activities.
  • Knowledge in administration and configuration of Local and Wide Area Networking infrastructure including data switches, internet routers and firewall systems.
  • Knowledge of data base and back up management systems
  • Knowledge in monitoring and audit systems and system data security requirements
  • Knowledge in deployment and upgrade of equipment, software systems and configurations
  • Knowledge and experience in hardware and peripherals maintenance
  • Experience maintaining services such as websites, intranets and databases
  • Highly developed computing and documentation skills.
