Title: Assistant Manager – Financial Controlling and
Reporting - Mombasa
Reports
To: Financial Controller
Key
Responsibilities:
Financial
Controlling
- Revenue Management and Opex Controlling
- Finalisation of accounts on a monthly basis
- Carry out reconciliation for various control accounts, general ledger vs subsidiary ledgers
- Review of reconciliation prepared by Accounts receivable team and accounts payable teams. Review of Cash & Bank recon on a weekly/monthly basis
- Regular review of ledger accounts to ensure proper accounting of expenses
- Maintenance of fixed asset register, ensure compliance and controls around opex management.
- Play a key role in period closing procedures
Financial
and Management Reporting
- Support the Fin. Con. Team in preparing monthly financial report to be submitted to management
- Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts
- Prepare monthly budget vs actual trends
- Prepare monthly business forecast report
- Prepare monthly variance report for revenue and opex
- Prepare annual budgets and management presentations
- Tax and Statutory Compliance
VAT
reconciliation
- Ensure timely submission of various statutory returns
- Ensure reconciliation of various tax/legal records with government authority’s records.
- Ensure compliance of Income tax regulations pertaining to WHT, PAYE while making payments to vendors and consultants.
Qualification
and Experience Required:
- Qualified in either ACA/ ACCA/ CPA/
- A Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power point.
- Working knowledge on ERP system like Oracle, SAP will be an added advantage.
- 5 years working experience in a similar position
