Our mission is to inform, through exhibitions and other related activities using modern technology to promote excellence in agriculture and allied industries.

In order to achieve our strategic objectives, we are seeking to recruit competent and qualified individuals to fill the following positions.

1. Chief Finance Manager

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership of the Finance function, planning and reporting process across the society’s network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of Monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Co-ordinate overall Society Financial Planning and enforcing financial controls.
  • Preparation of annual budgets.
  • Preparation of end year Accounts.
  • Enforce Society financial procedures and recommend areas for improvement.
  • Ensure tax compliance and timely remittance of statutory deductions.
  • Monitoring of revenues and costs through cash flows forecasts.
  • Ensuring completeness, accuracy and validity of all financial transactions.
  • Provide investment advice to maximize revenues.
  • Preparation and execution of strategic plans.
  • Participation in Risk Management.

Academic Qualifications and skills required
  • Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance or Accounting and must be a CPA (K) or any other equivalent professional qualifications in Accounting.
  • An MBA will be an added advantage.
  • In addition, they must have at least 5 years experience in the private sector, NGO or parastatals.
  • The ideal candidate must have analytical skills, good communications and interpersonal skills and user knowledge of IT financial reporting.

2. Branch Manager

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day running of the branch activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execution of the Society’s business strategy
  • Development of marketing strategies and business plans to maximize exhibitors participation
  • Setting targets inline with the budget and putting in place the necessary resources for planned growth.
  • Effective management of general society operations
  • Management of estate facilities
  • Effective coordination of committees
  • Maintenance of proper public relations within the society
  • Effective implementation of HR policies at the branch

The ideal candidate must possess the following
  • Be ideal University graduate with proven modern management training and experience. An MBA would be an added advantage.
  • Possess sound business acumen, negotiation skills and ability to sustain long term client/customer relationships.
  • Possess proven fundraising skills and experience in soliciting for sponsorships.
  • Have a proven track record with at least seven (5) years exposure at a senior management level.
  • Be result-oriented, team-leader, capable of persuading both within the organization and outside.
  • Good reporting skills.

3. Management Trainees

Reporting to the respective department/section Managers, the successful candidates will undergo intensive on the job training to build capacity in the various areas of management.

Qualifications/Competencies/Experience

  • The ideal candidates must possess the following qualifications:-
  • Hold a first degree of minimum Second Class Honours from a reputable University with specialization in any of the following fields - Engineering, Production, Agriculture, Accounting, Auditing, Finance, HRM, Economics, Marketing, ICT, or Law.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with the standard office applications;
  • Be aged not more than 28 years.
